HOLIDAY PUFF PASTRY ROLL
This golden puff pastry roll is the perfect center piece to any party. Filled with ham, a hint of pesto and cheese that all gets baked into a savory and crisp puff pastry roll. Crunchy and cheesy with a hint of sweetness if you add the raisins. So many flavors and textures to this masterpiece. You can even display it as a Christmas wreath by simply decorating it with herbs and a lovely little bow!
KANI SALAD
This kani salad has crisp crunchy vegetables, luscious crab strings with a creamy “kewpie” mayo-based dressing! The ultimate comforting Japanese salad of my dreams. This recipe features ‘’Kani’’ crab but you can use regular imitation crab sticks. This salad can be made into several different dishes! You can make cucumber rolls with this mix, even wrap them up in rice paper or serve it on a bed of cold crisp lettuce.
SANDWICH PINWHEELS
Tortillas, creamy sweet and salty spread with crisp lettuce, tomato and your favorite type of deli protein and cheese! These pinwheels make the perfect snack and all around a perfect bite to have around. My first taste of these were actually in a store called Costco they were so tasty, cheesy and crisp. I just had to remake them. The original Costco recipe uses cranberry sauce, swiss cheese and turkey it’s been the same for years but who can blame them? They are delish. My recipe has certain tweaks to it but not so far off that the original concept strays.
How To Make Fried Plantains “CHIFLES”
These thinly sliced green plantain chips are the crunchiest and yummiest treats. I like using the chifels as a side dish and I even decorate the tops of my ceviches with this. Another thing I like doing is making an extra batch and storing them so I can have a quick crunchy snack, pair this with my green avocado salsa or any other dip that you prefer and voila you’re ready to go!
Creamy Green Avocado Salsa “Taqueria Style”
This green avocado salsa is the perfect addition to your chiflas, crispy tortillas, tacos al pastor, carnitas, salad dressing and even leveling up your protein marinade. This recipe is so versatile and flavorful. Might I just add that this salsa is a raw refreshing hybrid of a salsa verde sauce but uncooked and using a bit of avocado. Store this deliciousness in the fridge for up to three days and use as you’d like.
