DIANA RODELO
WELCOME
Let’s start out with my career and why it revolves around food and lifestyle. My passion for food has been the ultimate journey, since a little girl I was blessed to be born in the beautiful city of Barranquilla! Were the Caribbean food culture is amazing. I left at a very young age to the United States and while growing up I learned from my favorite cooking books my mom would buy me (more like the only 3 we had, thanks momma) from then on I would experiment my food on her, from the tender age of seven. Thankfully she had the patience and love to eat my food even with leftover egg shells on the scrambled eggs!
Later on in life I decided that I wanted to pursue getting into culinary school and got accepted to attend Le Cordon Bleu’s Culinary School, I moved to Barcelona to finish my internship and take on a full time there.
Not only did I discover a bit of the world and other cultures but i was able to hop on a train and explore Holland, France and so much more! But it was honestly an excuse to be closer to my other side of the family in Bilbao. (The Basque country of Spain)
From then on it was onto my next adventure in the sunny melting pot of Miami were I decided to leave the restaurant industry (late hours, no sleep and not enough to make ends meet) to pursue something on my own, at that time I decided I would study photography, styling and editing, from then on I went on to work as a food and lifestyle freelancer and eventually headed over to El Diario Español Magazine and DFS Magazine for social media managing and resident content writing. Once that beautiful stage of my life was done, I was able to meet and receive opportunities to become a celebrity private chef and share my food with clients.
What can I say through all of my career and life stages I have learned many lessons, given and received so much knowledge and I would not have it any other way!
As for this journey called “life” I have been given this chance to give back and share with you via this platform and social media, so get ready for lots of style inspo, life advice, food bites and good vibes. Am glad you found me!
