It’s the season for all the fall goodies! I went to the most centralized and dedicated store that I’ve came across with, that has a massive and dedicated section to all the fall foods and drinks, yes ladies and gentleman am talking about the good old Trader Joe’s plus three other goodies that came from your regular grocery store and that are true American classics. Let’s get this fall snack haul going!

Pumpkin Pie Spiced “Ginger brew” sparkling beverage
Trader Joe’s
T | To sweet tasted like a mix of bubbles and apple juice [N]
P | Nothing surprising about it, taste like cinnamon and water-soda [N]
D | Tasted like apple juice with sparkling water it had a tingle of cinnamon but not overly powerful with spice [N]
Howling Gourds Pumpkin Ale
Trader Joe’s
T | I don’t really drink, it’s a bit bitter and I really don’t get any pumpkin taste [N]
P | It’s not the best but it isn’t that bad not a very high alcohol content, very mild “I would drink it if I had too.” [N]
D | Very mild with a hint of clove and mild ale flavor, very smooth and fruity I get hints of pumpkin but very subtle. [Y]
SALTY SNACKS & TREATS
This Pumpkin Walks Into A Bar…Cereal Bars
Trader Joe’s
P | Taste like a fig newton, more cinnamon and jam than anything else [N]
T | Am surprised I like this I would eat 2 a day after the gym; I taste spices and pumpkin and syrup [Y]
D | The cereal is soft to the touch and smooth in the mouth, nothing crunchy. Sweet and has major hints of cinnamon and clove I would heat this up in the microwave to get the pumpkin jam a bit meltier and sweeter [Y]
Pumpkin Spice Pretzel Slims
Trader Joe’s
P | Like the flavor and the texture, it has salt at the end to. I can taste the seeds; I would eat a bag of this [Y]
T | Perfect for “Game of Duty” I like this for a mid-night snack it’s sweet and salty [Y]
D | The first note that I got was the pumpkin spice, pumpkin seeds and salt. I like the contrast of the sweet and salty bite from the pretzel and the sea salt. This one is pretty darn good [Y]
Organic Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark Gluten Free
Trader Joe’s
P | Taste like a regular granola bar nothing special and felt very seedy and grainy [N]
T | It has a good taste but it needs more sugar very bland and I don’t like the green seeds on top, not a fan of veggies or green things [N]
D | It was bland and needed more spice, cinnamon or clove; very much resembles regular granola but it needs a sweetener to add some punch to the flavor, regardless of the flavor the calories are a lot for something so bland [N]
Pumpkin Flavored Joe-Joe’s Crème Cookies
Trader Joe’s
P | Crunchy and creamy the crème is soft and taste more like milk with sugar and cinnamon, there good [Y]
T | I like the cookie part taste like vanilla and a regular white cookie, I don’t eat the crème the texture is off putting, the cookie is good though [Y]
D | Very mild crème taste to the cookies but together with the cinnamon vanilla cookie works very well, the hint of pumpkin is in the crème part the texture is a bit creamier with hints of orange and pumpkin here and there [Y]
Quaker Apple Cinnamon Rice Crisps
Publix, Kroger, Wal-Mart, Target
P | Not fond of this, taste like a crunchy rice chip with sugar, I don’t get the apple part [N]
T | I like the crunch but am not liking that I only taste sugar, no cinnamon or apple [N]
D | This reminds me of a regular rice crisp but smaller in size and for some reason it tastes more like a light caramel rather than any apple taste, I do get hints of cinnamon; this is okay but there are better options out there. [N]
Entenmann’s Apple Cider Donuts
Publix, Kroger, Wal-Mart
P | My favorite of all the sweet snacks we tried, texture is soft and the glaze is perfect. I get cinnamon, sugar and an apple smell [Y]
T | I would eat the whole box! Soft, sweet, a little sticky I get the apple taste, glaze and cinnamon. I like them A LOT [Y]
D | This donut had a good texture, very soft and light. But had way too much sugar, the glaze overpowered the cakey donut and the apple flavor. If there was less glaze then I would definitely purchase it again, the flavor of the dough itself had a lot of clove and cinnamon to it but that’s about it! [N]
Pumpkin Delights Cookies By Little Debbie
Publix, Kroger, Wal-Mart
P | The texture is not cookie like, nothing crunchy it’s more like a soft thin mini cake; there’s nothing pumpkin about the flavor more like a jam and cake consistency. Flavor is still good but I was expecting a crunchy cookie [N]
T | Not very sweet, I like the jam part and the texture is more like a crumbly small cake; I didn’t get pumpkin but I did enjoy the taste of it [Y]
D | I was actually surprised I did like it. The cookie part was not as advertised though it was more of a soft crumbly cake texture, it had a good mixture of a sweet jam filling and with touches of cinnamon, clove and pumpkin spice. I actually placed this in the microwave for 20 seconds and it turned out like a soft very thin jam cake. Nothing pumpkin about it but the taste was good and not to sweet [Y]
Pumpkin Butter

P | This was awesome! It tastes like straight sweet pumpkin and I get a lot of cinnamon taste to it I would eat this by the spoonful [Y]
T | I do not like the texture and the color is a bit off putting, I will pass on this [N]
D | It was smooth and the texture was surprisingly light, the flavors were of pumpkin puree, sugar and spices; I would put this on a toasty slice of bread and give it a spread of this pumpkin butter and I would put a slice of cheese on top. Either Gouda or fresh mozzarella and yum, perfect little snack [Y]
Apple Cider Fruit Spread

P | The apples are chunky and sweet the flavor is great and very Christmas like, I would buy this and put it on waffles or stacks [Y]
T | Am surprised I like this; the texture is great and the flavor taste like an apple pie without the crust. I would buy this [Y]
D | The flavor was on point; the apples were perfectly diced and the sugar to spice ratio was a stunner; I would go as far as using this in an apple turnover filling or even a holiday inspired empanada recipe. Going back for more! [Y]
SALTY SNACKS + EXTRA SALTY VEGAN OPTIONS
Fall Harvest Salsa
Trader Joe’s
D | The first look of the salsa was a bit weird it was more like a thick puree, but when I served it into the bowl and gave it a swirl, I actually saw the bits and pieces of the veggies and apples which was great. The taste was good and tasted like a regular salsa but with a really saturated orange tone, I felt a spice to it and was surprised that I was not hit with an intense flavor of butternut squash and pumpkin. I would buy this as a seasonal item for sure; specially for the pops of color! [Y]
T | Am not a fan of raw vegetables, I will pass on this one [N]
P | Good taste for something that has pumpkin in it; taste exactly like a regular salsa, but it has some sweetness and spice to it [Y]
Fall Leaf Corn Tortilla Chips
Trader Joe’s
D | The corn tortillas tasted good they had mild tones of tomatoes, turmeric and a bit of beet taste to the chips, what I loved the most is there shapes and the colors; how they look is what really gets my attention. The details are really beautiful and very decorative for any fall gathering [Y]
T | They tasted like some sort of vegetable but it was good and I would have it again; they are pretty good looking too [Y]
P | They tasted like regular chips, but the cutouts are pretty nice [Y]
Vegan Ranch Dip

D | I was looking for alternative dips for upcoming gatherings that would cater to my vegan friends, and I’ve found a good one here; creamy and filled with onion and garlic flavors the base is coconut cream. You do get a hint of coconut but the flavor of onions and garlic over ride it. I would buy it again. [Y]
T | The onion and garlic smell really hit me strong, but I did like the overall flavor for it to be vegan. I would not buy it but it’s not bad if someone were to offer it for me. [N]
P | I liked this for sure, can’t tell the difference… it’s vegan. The onion and garlic have a good flavor to it and would put this on the chips [Y]
Tofurky Plant Based Deli Slices Hickory Smoke
Trader Joe’s, Publix, Whole Foods, Kroger
D | Guys this was not a hit, it tasted like a yeast, soy sauce, tofu all combined with like an acid note to it and the smell…Well it smelled like my doggy’s food, I was not able to handle it. [N]
T | The smell is too much to handle and the taste is unexpectedly weird but not in a good way. Will not buy…EVER [N]
P | I can’t get over the smell to potent and very rancid; the texture is deli like but the flavor is not at all good, I will pass on this one [N]
