DID I MENTION IT’S ALSO ENTERTAINING TO WATCH AND MAKE! ONCE THE FLAMBE FIRE COMES ALIVE YOU’LL WANT TO START RECORDING. PERFECT TO SHARE AND ENTERTAIN. ENJOY!

CARAMEL INGREDIENTS
½ CUP OF SUGAR
2 TABLESPOONS OF WATER
COOKING SPRAY, NON-STICK
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
PARCHMENT PAPER
COOKING BRUSH, OPTIONAL

PREPARATION
TURN YOUR STOVETOP TO A MEDIUM HEAT AND ADD IN YOUR SUGAR AND TWO TABLESPOONS OF WATER. LET THE SUGAR AND WATER DISSOLVE.
SWIRL THE PAN TO COOK THE CARAMEL, DO NOT USE ANY UTENSILS FOR THIS.
TO AVOID SUGAR CRYSTALS ON THE SIDES OF THE POT ADD A BIT OF WATER ONTO A COOKING BRUSH AND BRUSH DOWN THE SIDES OF THE POT.
THE COLOR WILL START TO TURN AN AMBER COLOR THIS USUALLY TAKES 6 MINUTES. AT THIS POINT YOU CAN TURN YOUR STOVE TOP TO A LOW HEAT TO AVOID BURNING.
ONCE CARAMEL IS DONE SET ASIDE.
PLACE A MEDIUM PIECE OF PARCHMENT PAPER ONTO YOUR KITCHEN SURFACE AND SPRAY THE TOP WITH THE COOKING SPRAY.
TAKE A SPOON FULL OF CARAMEL AND DRIZZLE ONTO THE PARCHMENT PAPER MAKING THE DESIGNS YOU’D LIKE. ONCE A BIT COOLED, START REMOVING IT GENTLY WITH A FORK. PLACE IN THE FRIDGE UNTIL READY TO BE USED.

BANANAS FOSTER
4 MEDIUM BANANAS, RIPE BUT FIRM
¼ CUP OF BUTTER
1 CUP OF BROWN SUGAR
1 CINNAMON STICK
¼ CUP OF BANANA LIQUEUR
1 TEASPOON OF CINNAMON POWDER
¼ CUP OF GOLD RUM OR DARK RUM

LARGE SKILLET OR FLAMBE PAN

VANILLA ICE CREAM
CRYSTAL CRAMALIZED DÉCOR
PREPARATION
PREP YOUR BANANAS BY CUTTING THEM IN HALF AND THEN SLICING THEM LENGTHWISE.
TURN THE STOVETOP TO A MEDIUM HEAT AND ADD IN YOUR BUTTER. ONCE THE BUTTER IS SLIGHTLY MELTED ADD IN YOUR BROWN SUGAR AND LET EVERYTHING DISSOLVE. ADD IN YOUR CINNAMON STICK AND STIR FOR ONE MINUTE OR UNTIL BUBBLING.
POUR IN YOUR BANANA LIQUEUR AND STIR FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS. ADD IN YOUR SLICED BANANAS AND COOK FOR ONE MINUTE, DO NOT OVER COOK THE BANANAS AS THEY CAN GET MUSHY, FLIP OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE AND COOK FOR ANOTHER MINUTE. TURN YOUR HEAT TO LOW AND REMOVE THE CINNAMON STICK.
WORKING QUICKLY ADD IN YOUR CINNAMON POWDER AND RUM, PLACE YOUR LIGHTER ONTO THE SAUCE BY WERE YOU POURED THE RUM. ONCE THE ALCOHOL TOUCHES THE HEAT THE “FIRE” FLAMBÉ WILL APPEAR, MAKE SURE YOUR SLIGHTLY AWAY FROM THE PAN WHEN DOING THIS. ALLOW THE ALCOHOL AND FLAMES TO BURN OFF AND COOK THE BANANAS AND SAUCE FOR ANOTHER MINUTE AND SERVE IMMEDIATELY!
SERVE IT ON TOP OF YOUR FAVORITE VANILLA ICE CREAM AND ADD YOUR CRYSTALIZED CARAMEL DÉCOR FOR A FINAL TOUCH.
