Ingredients
  • 1 Package of ground chicken {16oz. pack or 1lb.}
  • ½ Cup of onion {finely chopped, about 1 small onion}
  • 1 Tablespoon of garlic {minced, about 3 medium cloves}
  • ½ Cup of cilantro {chopped}
  • 2 ½ Tablespoon of canola oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Teaspoons of brown rice bread crumbs
  • 2 Teaspoons of sesame oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of black pepper
Preparation

In a small saucepan add in ½ tablespoon of oil at a medium-low heat. Sauté the onions, garlic, sesame seeds, and cilantro for 2-4 minutes. In a large bowl add in the ground chicken, salt, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, sesame oil, black pepper and the sautéed vegetables. Mix everything together and start by forming 1-inch thick patties. Once the patties are formed {about 3 tablespoons of mix for each patty} place them onto a plate and store in the fridge for 10 minutes. In a large sauté pan add in the 2 tablespoons of oil and set it to a medium-high heat. Place the patties onto the pan and sear each side for about 3 minutes. Once patties are seared, place a lid on top of the saute pan and let them cook through for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Tips- You can serve these patties with my oven roated potatoes, rice or steamed buns.

Tips- For a low card alternative serve them in lettuce cups, or whole grain pitas.
