When I purchase white sugar, brown sugar or confectioners sugar. I tend to store them with different techniques.

White coarse sugar {or fine sugar} - Open the package and pour the sugar in an air-tight container or mason jar. Close the lid and store them in the darkest spot of your pantry.

Brown sugar - Pour the package into a zip-lock bag. Make sure to squeeze any air out of the bag before closing it.

Confectioners sugar - Store the sugar either in a zip-lock bag or a medium plastic container.

Vanilla Sugar -  Place used vanilla pods onto the white sugar container and store.

Sugar Peels - Use your left over lemon, orange, and lime peels and place them into any sugar container.
